Permanent Hair Reduction with Lumenis LightSheer Laser
Many individuals (both male and female) with unwanted hair on their bodies go to great lengths to reduce or eliminate this hair. They expend a great deal of time and money, often with significant discomfort and unsatisfactory or short-lived results. Until recently, the only permanent method of hair reduction was electrolysis, a painful, time-consuming and expensive procedure, useful only for small areas of skin.
Although electrolysis still has a role, laser hair reduction has established itself as the premier method of permanent hair reduction. After several sessions, most typically five, nearly all dark hair is permanently removed. Occasional touch-ups may be needed, but generally the treated areas require minimal further hair removal procedures.
The specific laser chosen for use at WMGI is the Lumenis LightSheer Diode Laser. Universally considered the "gold-standard" of hair-removal lasers, it can be used on the greatest variety of skin types, including darker skin tones, and is the most successful in the fewest number of treatments.
